“Hannah photographed our wedding and I would absolutely recommend her. She captured the whole day beautifully! From the emotional moments to the hilarious parts of the day. Hannah made us both feel so at ease – she blended in so well that, by and large, we were barely aware of her. Hannah understood exactly what we wanted. She was also very quick to respond to any queries we had in the run up. Most importantly we adore her pictures and will treasure them for life.” – Katie & Nathaniel
I’ve had the privilege of knowing Nathaniel and Katie for the past few years as they are old friends of my husband, Joel! We met up with them earlier this year for their engagement shoot in Basingstoke at a 17th-century manor house, The Vyne (you can see all the pictures here!), and we’ve been counting down the days until their wedding ever since!
In September this year, Nathaniel and Katie tied the knot at Upwaltham Barns in West Sussex near their hometown, Farnborough. Upwaltham Barns was possibly the prettiest and most romantic barn wedding venue I have photographed. Even the videographer, Dan, agreed with me that everywhere we turned there was something pretty in the background! It almost didn’t matter where we photographed or filmed, every nook and cranny of this venue was picturesque!
I met up with the girls in the morning as they prepped for the big day in the Jasmine Cottage- one of several beautifully converted rooms in the barn. There was laughter, much excitement and of course bubbly to celebrate! Soon the ceremony commenced and the bride arrived with her Dad arm in arm. She absolutely beamed with joy all the way down the aisle! One of my favorite moments of the day was photographing her and Nathaniel’s reaction when they saw each other for the first time. The joy and love they felt were tangible in the room. After readings, songs and exchanging written vows, the bride and groom were announced husband and wife and the room erupted in applause!! Now for drinks and canapes in the courtyard, photos in the sunshine and dinner, speeches and dancing in the South Barn!
Nathaniel and Katie, from the bottom of my heart, it was a real privilege to photograph your gorgeous wedding at Upwaltham Barns. And not only be your photographer but also your friend and celebrate with you both as you embark on your journey as husband and wife! I’m so excited to see what the future holds for you two!
This 3-teared semi-naked wedding cake with fresh roses to decorate was simple but practically perfect in every way. Bunston Bakes know how to make cakes! (New slogan? I think so. ;))
Possibly the cutest wedding photo booth I’ve ever seen! I love how it tied into the theme of the barn and hung from the ceiling so guests can take their own selfies!
“How sweet of you to come”- I love this sweet table! Gummies, chocolates, stroopwafels… what more could you want? I also have to mention this awesome doughnut rack made by Nathaniel!
Oh… did I not mention that the groom and his mates are breakdancers?
I have to thank this amazing team for their hand in the day! I was genuinely impressed by all of their work and I would absolutely recommend any of them!
