A love story years in the making leads us to 2016- the year this fantastic couple are getting married!! When Nathaniel and Katie booked me as their wedding photographer we got straight to planning their engagement shoot (a complimentary photo shoot included in all of my wedding collections!). There was talk of London, lavender fields, national parks… but when Katie mentioned The Vyne I knew it was the perfect location for them!

The Vyne is a 17th-century manor house owned by National Trust and located near Basingstoke not too far from where Nathaniel and Katie reside in Farnborough. The house is surrounded by 1500 acres of picturesque gardens and woodland which gave us countless options. It was literally a photographer’s playground!

Nathaniel and Katie arrived in smart, elegant attire. Nathaniel looked very dapper in his jet black suit and tie and Katie matched her fiancé perfectly in a romantic floor-length navy blue gown. Both of them suited the scenery and manor house perfectly!

Our session began with a few spots of rain. We came prepared with umbrellas and ducked into a tower belonging to the manor to keep dry. Thankfully the rain didn’t last long and we were able to continue the engagement shoot in the sun! At the manor, we took a few natural and fun photos with the building’s towering pillars in the background. We then took a relaxing walk around the grounds and continued shooting with rose gardens, tall grass and wetland areas setting the scene. I love the mix of photographs we captured- truly timeless and romantic while still reflecting Nathaniel and Katie’s fun and easy going personalities!

Nathaniel and Katie are to be wed this September at Upwaltham Barns in Chichester, West Sussex. I am absolutely delighted to be their wedding photographer! :)
