July 2, 2020
Abigail and Kieran are one of my many amazing couples who have had to postpone their wedding day this year because of Covid-19. :( Just TWO days before the country went into lockdown, we met for their Peak District engagement shoot at The Roaches! I’m SO glad we got to take these photos and document their engagement while we had the chance!
What you see in these photos is, of course, the genuine sweetness these two have has friends and soon to be husband and wife. What you don’t see, however… is how WINDY this day was!! When we hiked to the top of The Roaches, the wind was practically blowing us over. I try my best to work with the elements, but this wind was NOT playing ball.
However, hope is never lost! We found a little cove of sorts in the rocks where we could sit low enough so the wind was hammering the rocks around us and not our ears! It was like a pocket of heavenly silence and I was so grateful for it because I managed to capture some really sweet moments between Abigail and Kieran there.
Thank you Abigail and Kieran for being adventurous and willing to jump in and work with the elements! I’m so pleased you love your Peak District engagement photos and I hope they stand as a beautiful testament to your love. May you look back on them and remember what a whirlwind being engaged in 2020 was but how you stuck together and came out stronger than ever.
Counting down the days until your new wedding date…!
