Vicky and Joe told me from the very start that they wanted natural and relaxed photos to document their Wethele Manor wedding. They loved the natural look of my photos and thought I would be the perfect fit for their intimate garden wedding last summer. I couldn’t be happier to have been their photographer!!
Do you remember that Thursday when temperatures skyrocketed well over 40 degrees in the UK?? Yup. That was the day.
I put on a summer dress and a hat in the desperate hope of not overheating- the hat did wonders to keep the sweat from dripping down my face if any photographers are asking for tips!!
Before the ceremony even began the guests and I were making makeshift fans from the orders of service and trying to hide under any speck of shade Wethele Manor had to offer. When you see the photo of everyone huddled under a tree you’ll know why!
This day was completely unique to Vicky and Joe. It was exactly what they told me they wanted from the very beginning of the planning stages. They wanted to get married and have a BBQ with family and friends in the sun. And that is exactly what they did.
I loved that they made their wedding day their own and walked down the aisle together. I loved photographing the moment Vicky took off her shoes and sat with friends in the afternoon shade sipping a G&T. I loved capturing Joe competing with his brother in a game of cricket on the lawn. I loved documenting both of them relaxing and celebrating with the people closest to them. I love that they didn’t make a big deal of traditions they didn’t care for and stuck to what really mattered to them the most.
Everything about this Wethele Manor wedding, I LOVED and I am so so happy to have been able to capture it all for them. These photos are already such sweet memories of an awesome day celebrating these two wonderful human beings!
Stay tuned… these two have a surprise and it’s coming to the blog soon! ;)
Big shout out to these vendors and to the staff at Wethele Manor who hit it out of the park once again! Always a pleasure photographing weddings at Wethele!
