After reading Eva’s first email to me, I knew we’d get on like a house on fire. I wasn’t wrong! We emailed back and forth and planned her photography mentoring session and discussed what she wanted to talk about in our one-to-one coffee chat. By the time we met up in Coventry, it felt like we had been friends for years and the conversation flowed so easily!
Eva came prepared with lots of questions about building her website and portfolio to attract her ideal client. She had attended workshops previously and photographed a few weddings and engagements before meeting me so our conversations were very practical. She was keen to get to work and make some real changes in her photography business!
A few key things we talked about was how to get her website up and running (full of good SEO juice) social media, Instagram and Facebook ads, how to price yourself and workflow. After a bite of lunch and wrapping up our conversation, we headed outside for a few quick headshots. Emphasis on ‘quick’ as it was much colder than we had anticipated!
Wrapping up photography mentoring sessions with these mini headshot shoots is one of my favorite parts of the whole session. It means I can answer any questions that come up as I’m shooting. I can also show how I would guide a person into natural poses and Eva even taught me a thing or two! I have no doubt she’s going to be amazing with her couples and helping them feel comfortable in front of the camera. :)
Eva, thank you SO much for booking a photography mentoring session with me!! I had a blast meeting you and encouraging you in your photography business. The only way is up for you and I’m so excited to see what you do next!
