One of the things I love the MOST about wedding photography is meeting my couples before the wedding day for their engagement photo shoot! If it coincides with a hike and an outdoor adventure I am even more down for it!
A lot of couples are initially nervous about the idea of an engagement shoot but it’s 100% worthwhile to feel more comfortable in front of the camera (plus it’s free to all of my brides and grooms!). These photo shoots are always relaxed, always fun and it’s really just a time for us to hang out and get to know each other better so I feel like a friend on the wedding day and not a stranger.
I met Jo and Jack in Cheltenham where they are getting married literally THIS WEEKEND! Jo mentioned taking a walk up Leckhampton Hill to a rocky crag and I jumped at the idea. We mayyyyy have gotten lost and a 30-minute walk turned out to be a 2-hour hike BUT I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I loved having the time to get to know these two more and the crag was well worth the steep hike (seriously these guys got my steps up that day!).
I’m also pretty sure I have some weird magic skill at booking photo shoots in the craziest wind… haha! If you want to see what I mean, just scroll to the bottom of this page.
