“Oh Hannah, they are just so beautiful! I’ve looked at them about 3 times now and have cried each time! Seeing them really brought back the emotion of the day. We can’t thank you enough for how hard you’ve worked on them. The only difficult thing now will be narrowing down which to hang up at home – there are just too many good ones to choose from!”
Claire and André’s wedding day at Wethele Manor was planned to perfection. Careful thought went into every detail and what they pulled off was no mean feat- especially since Claire and André planned most of their wedding long distance while living in Australia!
We were all crossing our fingers for sunshine, and sure enough, it poured in abundance and kept everyone warm during the outdoor ceremony and afternoon lawn games. Who doesn’t love a game of cricket at a wedding?!
Claire looked incredibly radiant in her Felicity Cooper gown from The White Boutique, and André was slick and smart in his tweed Magee suit. The bride and groom, both lovers of gin, decided to have an open gin bar with alllll the extras and named each table after a bottle of their favorite. The table names and name of each guest assigned to that table were written on citrus fruit leaves and this created their seating chart. Such a clever idea! The marquee at Wethele Manor was decorated with complimenting autumnal colors, gorgeous floral arrangements in rustic wooden crates and strings upon strings of bunting all handmade by the mother of the bride. You heard me. HANDMADE!
Following speeches and Claire’s mum’s famous trifle (along with many other homemade cakes and the bride and groom’s wedding cake by The Cakery) I took Claire and André outside for a few more bride and groom photos. We hit golden hour just perfectly and I love the silhouette shots and warm light we were able to capture!
A first dance, father-daughter dance, and mother-son dance started off the night and The CoverUps took it from there! Huge shout out to this wedding band and their mega talent. And I’m not just biased because my husband happened to be the drummer. ;)
Claire and André, thank you for everything. You both have been so incredibly generous and kind to me. What a wonderful whirlwind this has been! Although I’m a little sad this journey is over I am so excited to see you embark on this new adventure as husband and wife! Marriage is such a gift and I hope you cherish every minute of it! I will 100% let you know if I ever tick that trip to Australia off my bucket list. ;)
