Elaine and Garrick tied the knot this May at Castle Bromwich Hall- a 16th-century country house in Birmingham. It was a pleasure to be Elaine and Gaz’s wedding photographer and journey with them through this entire process. From the time we met in a pub halfway between Birmingham and Coventry to when I sent them their final wedding photographs in a wooden keepsake box, it was a joy!
The day started with getting ready in Castle Bromwich Hall’s bridal suite. The bride was joined by her 5 bridesmaids, mother and a few close friends who popped their head in every now and again with huge smiles on their faces. Rebecca Bissell and Zannie Vong did an outstanding job with the girl’s hair and makeup- all 5 bridesmaids and the bride! They worked tirelessly from the early hours of the morning up until the last minute and their work surely paid off. The girls looked stunning!
The ceremony commenced in the venue’s chapel just a 2-minute walk from the main house. Hymns were sung, vows and rings exchanged and their forever was sealed with a kiss. Bride and groom photos followed and the evening started with a huge confetti line. Even though it was super windy and drizzly outside it was well worth it (scroll down to see all the happy)!
After a hearty meal, speeches were given by the bride’s best friend of 11 years, Mel, her sister Jacqui, her uncle who walked her down the aisle and of course the best man and the groom himself. Gaz spoke part of his speech in Cantonese that had Elaine’s side of the family erupt in tears… of LAUGHTER! Everyone else was a bit confused thinking Gaz was giving a heartfelt speech, but alas Gaz was, in fact, reading a list of his best character traits and reasons why they were lucky to have a redhead join their family! Absolutely priceless!
What’s left to do but party late into the night?! Thanks to DJ JK Soundz, the dance floor was packed until the very end. Elaine told me afterward they partied until 3 am! Now that’s what I call one heck of an ending to an awesome day!

I have to give huge thanks to everyone who made this day everything Elaine and Garrick had dreamed and more! Special thanks to Castle Bromwich Hall staff who were so accommodating to me and worked so hard all day (and night!) long.
