“Let me say a HUGE thank you for everything you’ve done for us. I was totally blown away when the beautiful box arrived in the post and I saw how much love and care you put into preparing our photos, in printing out some of our favourites (how did you know?!!), in writing that heartfelt card and in making the whole thing such a joy to receive. You are so kind and thoughtful. And the photos themselves are exactly what we wanted!! You’ve captured the day perfectly and I am so grateful. Your manner on the day was so considerate and professional and fun. And you just got us!! I’m so thankful that we found you. Everyone who has seen the photos has been so impressed and I’m so excited to share them with everyone else.” – Becky
When I started my photography business I had no idea that I would meet such amazing couples who could become friends within minutes. Becky and Keiran are one of those couples. I didn’t get the chance to meet them before the wedding, but as soon as I arrived on the day I was greeted with warm hugs and instantly felt like part of the gang!
I arrived at Cheltenham Townhouse to photograph Becky and her bridesmaids as they prepped for the wedding. The bride had her hair done by Individual Glamour and makeup by a friend and MUA, Laura Jenkinson. Both did a fantastic job and made Becky literally glow!
Right on time, Becky arrived at her home church, Trinity Cheltenham, with her father by her side. As she walked down the aisle a recorded instrumental song played that Kieran had written and recorded himself, especially for his bride. The processional was simply beautiful and I genuinely had to hold back tears! The church was filled with 200 guests who all joined in celebrating with the bride and groom as they said their vows, exchanged rings and worshiped God. With loud cheers and applause, the ceremony came to an end and we saw the couple off with a confetti exit. Next up, Brockworth Court Barn (Priors Tithe Barn) for photos, speeches, dinner, and dancing!
So many people clearly adore this couple, including a group of women who Becky called her “Girls In Blue”. These women were not only given special roles on the wedding day, they dressed in blue to be recognized as significant friends and role models in Becky’s life. I couldn’t love this idea more!
Needless to say, this day was the perfect celebration of Becky and Kieran’s journey together as husband and wife. I walked away genuinely feeling blessed and privileged to have photographed such an amazing day. When I say I love my job, I really do! It isn’t always pretty I have to admit. There are long hours and tired feet, but experiences like this and meeting people like this make it all worthwhile.
Congratulations you two!!!
Brockworth Court Barn was decorated beautifully with fairy lights strung from wooden beams above, ornamental twine balls hung from the ceiling, fun photos of Becky and Kieran were strung around the room and the tables were dressed in white linen with burlap and lace runners down the center. Lanterns and vases of red flowers and winter greens sat on cuts of wood as table centerpieces, it looked perfect! Every detail was simple yet romantic and tied into the theme of this country chic barn wedding!
I always say how much I love non-traditional wedding cakes. I love seeing my couples be unique and put their own personal touches on their wedding day just because they can! Becky and Kieran’s lemon drizzle wedding cake was pre-cut, decorated with red berries and placed on a 7-tear cake stand ready to grab! Easy and delicious! I may have had more than one slice…
I don’t even remember it being that windy, but I love capturing spontaneous moments like this!
This bride’s Girls In Blue! Sweet life long friends and role models…
The groom’s brothers and sister wrote a song… it had everyone buckling over in fits of laughter!!!
The groom’s turn to solo…!
Song turned into rap…?? Heck yeah!!!
