One of the things I love most about my job is finding small connections between friendship groups- it really is a small world after all! Shout out to Josh and Scott who are good friends and who recommended me to this amazing bride and groom!
I first met Lauren and Tom in Cannock Chase on a sunny August afternoon for their engagement photo shoot. We walked through the woods, grabbed a few casual and natural photos and talked all about their wedding plans. You can see their full engagement session here!
Time flew by and before I knew it I was with Lauren and her bridesmaids in Lauren’s parent’s home in Walsall, Birmingham photographing the girls wedding day prep! As soon as I arrived I immediately felt like part of the gang. I felt so welcomed by the girls and I have to thank the Mother Of The Bride especially for her hospitality. She made sure I had eaten breakfast and that I was never shy of tea and champagne. Thank you, Mrs. Baker!
Lauren and Tom had their wedding ceremony at their home church, St. Matthews, in Walsall. The church was packed pew to pew with friends and family eagerly showing their support and love for the bride and groom. Songs of praise and thanks to God were sung, scriptures read, prayers prayed and vows exchanged. Sealed with a kiss, Lauren and Tom became husband and wife and the church echoed in applause! That moment always give me goosebumps… :)
After the ceremony, we made our way up the country roads of Sutton Coldfield to find Moor Hall. Drinks were given upon arrival and guests were entertained by a caricaturist! While photographing the drinks reception I kept one eye on the clouds darkening outside… sunshine never lasts too long in England! ;)
Sure enough, the rain came. We waited a few minutes with our fingers crossed until the rain died down. Luckily it did and we still managed to grab plenty of photos outside in Moor Hall’s secret garden- a true Frances Hodgson Burnett scenario!
To say the very least, Lauren and Tom are perfect together. Spend only a few minutes with them and it’s obvious they bring out the best in each other and compliment each other in every way. Their wedding day was nothing short of a beautiful celebration filled with the excitement of dear friends and family for their new journey as husband and wife. I am so very happy that I could be a part of it.
