This summer I had the pleasure of photographing alongside Charlotte of Electric Blue Photography & Film for Jordanna and Dan’s wedding at Pendrell Hall in Codsall. It was truly an awesome experience to work with the team at Pendrell Hall to document this celebration! Being an award winning wedding venue set in the heart of the West Midlands, it is no surprise this Victorian Country House is in high demand and fully booked through to 2018!
The bride and groom declared their vows in front of their closest friends and family at the venue’s outdoor ceremony location. The skies tempted us with rain, but we managed to make it through the service with dry heads! The rain came just at the end and we ran quickly inside for drinks and sweets.
Jordanna and Dan hung photos of their beloved grandparents along the wedding aisle as a symbol of keeping them close to their hearts…
Sealing their marriage with a sweet kiss, the bride and groom officially started their Forever together.
Jordanna and Dan decorated their wedding reception room with summer simplicity! The duck-egg blue, chevron pattern on the wedding favours complimented the walls of Pendrell Hall perfectly. Centre pieces of twine-wrapped jars and wine bottles of white gypsophila and colourful hydrangeas tied their shabby-chic theme together!
Pendrell Hall prides itself on being a No Corkage Wedding Venue meaning no restrictions on BYOB! No corkage fees or extra service fees- these guys know how to throw a good party!
This gorgeous rustic, naked, layered wedding cake was to die for! I think I counted 13 layers?? The white ripple icing in between the layers and powdered sugar dusted over the entire cake was such an elegant touch! Not to forget fresh flowers and berries to top it all off!
(If you have just stared intently at your screen and counted all the layers… you are my best friend)
At the first chance of clear sky we took a few natural and romantic bride and groom portraits at the back of the Hall with backdrops of violet Rhododendron and acres of countryside…
The newlyweds enjoyed their first dance together as friends and family looked on lovingly…
It wasn’t long before guests stormed the dance floor and the party really got going! Scroll down to see for yourself… these are definitely some of my favorite wedding reception photos!!
Thank you to Charlotte for having me as your second photographer and to Jordanna and Dan for letting be a part of your special day!
