St. John’s church, with its stone interior and stained glass windows set the scene for Robyn and Christian’s wedding ceremony in Woking, Surrey. There were arrangements of evergreens, pink roses and purple wisteria accenting the altar. There was a cello player to lead the processional and an acoustic duo (one member being a bridesmaid!) to play music during the ceremony. The bride arrived in a floor length, v-neck gown with lace sleeves wearing a flower crown and holding a bouquet of wild winter florals. Her face radiated with pure joy at the sight of her groom waiting for her at the end of the aisle! Robyn and Christian’s ceremony commenced in a celebration of their love for one another and their commitment to each other before God, their family and their friends. After a time of worship and prayer, they vowed to stand by each other through thick and thin, sealed their declaration with a kiss and everyone erupted in applause and cheer!
The day proceeded flawlessly with family photos at the church, bride and groom portraits at Christian’s mum’s house and a wedding breakfast at St John’s Village Memorial Hall. The newlyweds sat down to a candlelit meal and enjoyed precious time with their loved ones before speeches were given by the Father of the Bride, two of the bride’s closest friends, Christian and even Robyn herself! To end the night in the best way possible, the bride and groom danced away to a traditional mariachi band! I wish I could have stayed longer to rumba along with them! ;)
Thank you, Robyn and Christian, for giving me the opportunity to photograph your wedding day! You are a wonderful couple with so many people around you who love you and support you! It was a beautiful sight to see. All the best to you both on your journey together.
Love,
Hannah
A super fun confetti exit outside St. John’s Church, Woking. The confetti was dried flower petals- a great idea that’s decomposable and smells nice!
Gorgeous bridesmaids bouquets of lavender and the bride’s stunning wildflower bouquet. I wish I could name all the flower types!
Charis was a fantastic bridesmaid and let me photograph her hair piece of dried flowers and a bird’s feather to tie it all together- natural, vintage and so very pretty,
Robyn pulled off wearing a leather jacket and high-heeled, white chunky boots like it was no ones business! Total rock and roll bride!
