Eleanor and Matthew are a pure example of genuine, inspirational love. At any moment of their day, whether hand in hand or taking a quick glance at each other from across the room, you could see the joy and love they had for each other.
On the morning of the wedding, Ellie was with her sisters and two best friends in her parents house – cosy, homely and completely relaxed preparing for the day ahead. After spending an hour or so with the girls, I made the quick drive to All Saint’s Church, a sentimental church to the bride’s family as her nan grew up in the town and her great grandparents attended the church when they were still with us.
Matt grinned from ear to ear as his bride walked down the aisle. There was a peaceful serenity about their ceremony, especially in the songs and prayers. I’m not too proud to admit I welled up when Eleanor and Matthew’s parents prayed over them! Their parents’ love and support of their son and daughter were undoubtable. After a picture-perfect confetti exit and photos at the church, we made our way down winding country roads to Snell’s Hall for the evening reception. The best was brought out of the hall thanks to the handmade decorations of Ellie’s mum and friends. A meal was provided by ladies from Eleanor’s church and heartfelt speeches resulting in tears and the kind of laughter that makes your stomach hurt. Ellie and Matt then danced the night away surrounded by their best friends, everyone singing at the top of their lungs and pulling out their craziest dance moves.
I am a lucky girl to have met these two fantastic people and photograph their wedding day. I will never forget walking back to my car, tired and aching yet with the fullest heart and biggest smile on my face.
