WOW! What a crazy week it’s been!
Mad editing in my office Monday – Wednesday, engagement shoot with Steve and Candice at Coventry Cathedral and Coombe Abbey in Coventry on Thursday, the cosy rainy-day wedding of Luke and Sharon on Friday, Matt and Ellie’s sweet wedding in Oxford on Saturday (crashed and comatose on Sunday) and finally my trip down to London with Joel to meet Caroline Logan for a mentoring session on Monday! PHEW!!
Every day was purposeful and exciting. I worked hard, rested when I needed to, was taught and inspired and refreshed and looked after so well by my friends and my amazing husband. I couldn’t ask for anything more!
Just to share a little about my time with Caroline Logan… yep this girl! – carolineloganphotography.com
When I heard of Caroline’s plans to come to London (all the way from Pennsylvania, USA!) I knew I had to try and meet up with her! After nearly a year of emailing and planning, her tickets were booked and the dream became a reality (Haha – literally!!). I was beyond nervous and excited for our meeting and it turned out to be everything I was hoping for and more!
Over glasses of iced green tea and strawberries (thank you, Notes!), we talked about being entrepreneurs and small business-owners, dreamers and doers and the amazing opportunities we have to love and serve our bride and grooms on their wedding days. I was inspired and encouraged in my creativity and in my character. I gained confidence and wisdom in making the right decisions for my business, what to give my time to and what to move on from. I had confirmation of the things I am doing right and had a second opinion on a few things I’m considering for the new year!
I couldn’t thank this incredible woman enough for taking a day out of her trip to invest in my life.
It was seriously the BEST day. I even said to Joel, “I feel like it’s my birthday!!”. As if only great things can happen on your birthday! ;)
So, here’s to new friends, confidence, growth and hustling hard!
Smiling all the way home…
Hannah
