Who would have thought my first wedding of 2020 wouldn’t happen until July… due to a global pandemic for that matter! I’m certain Zac and Sarah didn’t ever plan on having a COVID-19 wedding either but here we are!
Zac and Sarah originally planned their wedding day for April, but of course, things didn’t go to plan. After so much disappointment, heartache, and waiting for the unknown, the government announced weddings of up to 30 people could go ahead and that was just the green light they needed. With a two week notice, Zac and Sarah set their new wedding date!
Joel and I immediately cleared our calendar (not like we had a whole lot going on anyway 😂) and I dusted off my camera equipment… quite literally! On a gorgeous day in July, we made our way down to Oxfordshire, Joel fully prepped for his best man duties, and me, somewhat managing 2 cameras while trying to look half decent in a dress 😆. Oh, did I mention Zac is my brother-in-law??
I’m SO pleased for these two and I’m so happy I could be there to document their wedding ceremony. We look forward to next year when COVID-19 weddings will hopefully be no more and we can fully celebrate with a huge party, but, for now, let’s all take a sigh of relief because the most important bit is done. Zac and Sarah are finally husband and wife!!
Are you planning a COVID-19 wedding? If you would love for your wedding ceremony to be captured, even if you’re planning the main event for next year, I would love to chat! I have a few openings in 2019 for small ceremonies and am offering photography coverage at an hourly rate. Please do send me a message here!
