I’m SO EXCITED to share this Pistyll Rhaeadr engagement shoot because it’s of my brother-in-law and his wife to be, Sarah!!
I feel so honored to be their wedding photographer and we’re only a few weeks away from the big day. Eeek!!
When it came to deciding the location for their engagement shoot, I pitched the idea of a little adventure to Wales to explore Pistyll Rhaeadr- one of the Seven Wonders of Wales! Apparently it has a 73-meter drop which makes it one of the highest waterfalls in the UK. It definitely exceeded our expectations especially when we climbed to the very top and there weren’t any railings on the edge!!
One of my favorite things about Sarah is her love for adventure and how much she loves the water. One thing I love about Zac is that his love for Sarah makes him willing to do things he would never do otherwise… like get into said water.
We took a leisurely walk from the car park to the top of the waterfall in hope of avoiding tourists and with a little waiting here and there we got the photos we wanted at the top of the waterfall. It wasn’t a particularly warm day, and the water temperature was painfully cold, but that didn’t stop us from trudging through knee-deep mud to get in!!
I can’t wait for these two to get married at Cogges Manor Farm in only a few week’s time! For now, enjoy a few of my favorites from this Pistyll Rhaeadr engagement shoot below.
If you would like to have your engagement shoot at Pistyll Rhaeadr in Wales, I would love to go back! Send me a message and let’s get planning. :)
