Spontaneous Adventure Session in the Lake District | Emma and James

Emma and James and I go wayyyyyyyy back! Okay, so only a few years back when I photographed their wedding in Kent (!!) but I feel like we’ve known each other for much longer than that!

Emma and James aren’t just an incredible couple who love God and adore each other and make you laugh- they are also very talented wedding photographers and videographers! Check out their work here!

A few months back Emma and James invited Joel and me to spend a weekend with them in the Lake District where we pretended to be models for a styled shoot they pulled together. Ummm… a wild and whimsical adventurous styled elopement shoot in the jaw-dropping peaks of the Lake District?? HECK yes.

It was possibly the most fun and yet the COLDEST photo shoot I have EVER been a part of. To this day I don’t think I have ever been colder in my whole life… and I’ve done photo shoots barefoot, in a very thin dress and in the Welsh sea in NOVEMBER.

After a brief photo shoot just before the sun hid behind the peaks, we changed in the car through jittery teeth and frozen fingers. The sun had gone but what remained was a gorgeous watercolor-esque painted sky and I had to get Emma and James out for a few photos of their own!

While I was bundled up with my snowboard jacket, scarf, beanie, gloves and boots, these two braved the cold for a few moments to capture this picturesque landscape and tie an end to our wild adventure together.

I wanted to share a few photos below. You would never guess how cold it was, would you??

If you’ve been dreaming of adventurous photos of you and your other half in a scenic location, possibly as beautiful as the Lake District, HOLLA AT YO GIRL.

I am 100% down for an adventure session with you and your love. It will be completely unique to you and guaranteed to be full of adventure, laughter, and FUN.

Thank you Emma and James for your bravery. Until next time…! ;)
