“Hannah – what can we say?! Thank you so much for capturing the memories that will last a life time! It was our perfect day and looking at the pictures brings back all the happiness, laughter and love from the day! As two people who don’t like their photo taken you made the whole experience so comfortable, most of the time we didn’t know you were there! From the engagement shoot you made us feel so relaxed and meant we could just be ours selves and enjoy every moment. We now have 100s of incredible images to choose from. Thank you also so much for liaising with our suppliers and behind the scenes being part of what made the day so smooth. I would recommend you to any of our friends and family. Thank you so much, not only from us but from our families too.” – Jenny & Joe
On this October day, the sun was warm and low in the sky and the air was crisp. When I drove up the dirt path to one of Warwickshire’s best wedding venues, Wethele Manor, it was peaceful and quiet yet there was a tangible buzz of preparation for Jenny and Joe’s afternoon outdoor wedding ceremony…
Wethele Manor instantly appeared cozy yet spectacular. It is a wonderful countryside venue between Leamington Spa and Coventry, only a short 20-minute drive for me! This beautiful West Midlands wedding venue had friendly, hard working staff who were accommodating and kept the day running smoothly. The gardens were well-kept with blooming flowers even in autumn which was a lovely surprise.
I met Jenny and her bridesmaids as they got ready in the venue’s new bridal preparation cabins. The cabins were very light and airy (perfect for getting ready photos!), secluded with trees and overlooked a small pond. The cabins are designed especially for brides and bridesmaids so had two mirrors, one for the hair dresser, one for the makeup artist, plenty of seating room and even a hook high enough on the wall to hang the wedding dress. They really did think of everything!
Having got engaged in Berlin in the fall, their favorite season of the year, Jenny and Joe planned their wedding for mid-October to keep to the theme. They chose warm red and orange colors, bunting made by the bridesmaids was strung across the marquee and autumn leaves and pine cones decorated the tables. Jenny had a bouquet of vibrant red roses and berries to match the bridesmaid’s bouquets of wheat and elegant floor-length, deep red bridesmaid dresses. The groom and groomsmen also sported buttonholes of wheat wrapped in burlap to match. Cindy at Pure Botanics really did a wonderful job with the floral arrangements!
The day proceeded with ease- photos in the gardens at golden hour, dinner in the marquee and speeches by the Father of the Bride, the groom, two best men and the bride herself! The groom pulled out all the stops with his speech. Joe wrote a poem for his new wife about his love for her which resulted in roaring applause by everyone in the room. Well done, Joe! To top off the night, everyone went into the barn next door for a traditional ceilidh, lead by the Cut A Shine band. Plenty of drinks were had, dances danced and memories made. It was a beautiful, genuine and simply FUN day from start to finish and I am so glad to have been this awesome couple’s wedding photographer!
A message from the bride and groom…
“A massive thank you to all of our friends and family for making our day so special. It really was the best day of our lives and you all gave us so many happy memories to last a lifetime.”
