Coombe Abbey, Coventry Family Photo Shoot

It just so happened to be the first day of snow when I met Emily and Josh and their little boy for their family photos in Coombe Abbey Country Park. Okay, okay. It might have been a slight dusting of snow BUT it was snow none the less!

With little ones, I like to give plenty of room for creativity and adventure. This usually means we stay on the move! Elijah was fascinated by the swans and ducks at Coombe Abbey and, prepared with feed, Emily and Josh spent a few moments by the lake feeding the birds with their son. I loved capturing the laughter and fun they were having as a family doing something they would do together whether or not I was there. These day to day life moments that come and go are so special to capture in a photograph that you can keep for years after.

I had so much fun on this shoot and I’m not just being biased here. It was relaxed and natural and Emily and Josh were down to earth and so lovely. Even though there were a few moments of tired toddler tears, I think Elijah enjoyed himself too. He certainly liked crunching through the leaves and sitting high up on his daddy’s shoulders. I’m so pleased to hear how much Emily and Josh and their families love the photos- I heard they made wonderful Christmas presents! :)
