Family Photos in Cannock Wood

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Vicky and Joe through so many seasons of life and I’m so grateful! From their engagement to their wedding day at Wethele Manor (catch their wedding here!) to their becoming of parents (catch their newborn session here!) and now their family photos in Cannock Wood!

Funny story about this location… we weren’t meant to meet here at all! We actually planned to meet in Cannock Chase Forest itself but the park got shut down only minutes before we were due to meet because there were too many people trying to enter the park (thanks to covid, numbers were being limited).

I called Vicky as soon as I noticed they were closing the gates and told them not to drive any closer otherwise they would be stuck in a mile-long queue of traffic. I told her to drop me a pin and I’d meet them wherever they were- oh the beauty of technology! Vicky and Joe were pulled over in a layby that happened to be in front of a gorgeous field. The sun was cascading the most awesome golden colors and I said quick, this is it! We jumped out of our cars and straight into the photo shoot. Vicky and Joe took turns during the session to jump and dance behind the camera to get Berty to chuckle and smile. I always appreciate the effort parents put in! Well done you two. ;)
