I feel like we all could use a little beam of sunshine today after the news of a third lockdown. I hope this super sweet at-home newborn session from a few months ago brightens your screens! Welcome to this wild, wild world, Eva!
Carmen reached out earlier in the year and said she and her husband were expecting their first baby girl and wanted an at-home newborn session to capture the early days when Eva was just a few weeks old. I’m so happy we were able to make it work within the current government guidance. We kept our distance and I, of course, wore a mask which I am very much used to working in these days!
We put on calming music and I managed to take a few photos of Eva when she was settled on her own. The remainder of the photo shoot it turns out she preferred to be held by Carmen or David while they were stood up… only! ;) We made it work and only had one nappy change mid-shoot which happens almost every newborn shoot. I always recommend at-home newborn sessions are at least one hour long so there’s plenty of time for things like this- we even had time for Carmen to feed Eva and it was precious to capture those moments too.
See a few of my favorite photos below…! Let’s cross our fingers it won’t be long until we can have family and newborn photo shoots at home once again. :)
