In February this year, Emily emailed me asking to book a Mini Family Session for her baby boy Jacob who just turned 4 months old. She asked if it would be possible to do an at-home newborn session with him and of course, I was 100% on board!!
Because Jacob’s newborn session was at home, we didn’t have to worry about bad weather in the winter. I’m glad this was the case because it ended up raining all day, but we were safe and cozy indoors! I love this about at-home sessions!
These 30-minute sessions are usually the perfect amount of time for babies and young children. Jonah was smiley from the start so I took a few photos of him on his own before he wanted mom and dad’s attention. ;)
We only had a brief spout of tears which was quickly resolved by feeding. This worked in our favor because Emily had previously asked for a few breastfeeding photos anyway! After a happy feeding, Jacob was fascinated with my camera and this allowed us to take a few more photos of him with mom and dad in the bedroom and a few in Jacob’s adorable nursery too. I was in love with the animal theme!
