When Emily first emailed me, earlier last year, she said she and James just got engaged but hadn’t set a wedding date yet because they wanted to check my availability FIRST to make sure they could have me as their wedding photographer… I mean… WHAT?! Crying ALL the happy tears over here!!
Once they had set their wedding date we started planning their engagement shoot. Not only did they set their wedding date to fit my schedule, but they drove all the way from Coventry to Poole where I was staying over Christmas just so they could meet me at Durdle Door for their engagement shoot! Seriously, these two are amazing!!
That really only shows a tiny snippet of how wonderful these two are. I hope their engagement photos at Durdle Door show you a little more!
We met at Durdle Door beach only a few days before Christmas. It was so windy that the waves were the biggest I have ever seen them and they covered most of the beach. However, we did have a sunny evening and we made use of the clifftops and still got the famous Durdle Door arch in a few shots.
We kept warm by moving lots, running around and having fun. We also took a break for some hot apple cider (courtesy of my mother-in-law, how cute!) and watched the waves crash onto the beach. Just in time for dusk, we made the steep hike up to the car park and hugged goodbye.
Thank you, Emily and James, for picking me as your photographer and being all-around incredible! Thank you for the Durdle Door adventure and I’m counting down the days until the wedding day!!
