Nicola messaged me on Instagram about surprising her boyfriend with a photo shoot for his birthday because he loves photography and loves photos of the two of them together- more than Nicola! ;) I was SO down for this idea and it was super fun to plan it all without Adam knowing! Bradgate Park in Leicester was Nicola’s location of choice and we planned for the photo shoot to take place at sunrise.
We were having really beautiful winter mornings and we hoped to catch a few of those early beams of light first thing in the morning. Turns out… we had the COMPLETE opposite and it was so foggy we could barely see 2 meters in front of us!
The fog was actually quite disorientating and gave photography a whole new set of challenges, haha! Regardless, I thoroughly enjoyed our walk through the park (thankfully there is a paved path at Bradgate Park otherwise it would have been hopeless!). We even got to see the white stags and found a wooded area to stop for hot cocoa. :)
This was certainly one of the coldest photo shoots I have ever done and the most unique! Nicola and Adam were absolute champs and even took off their coats for the majority of the photos… I think I saw ice forming on Nicola’s eyelashes, no word of a lie!
Thank you both so much for booking me as your photographer and for this foggy winter adventure! I’m so pleased with how much you love your photos!! Until next time…!
