I am SO EXCITED to finally share photos from this gorgeous styled Peak District elopement!!
I’ve wanted to photograph a bride and groom at Winnats Pass forever. I’ve traveled to the Peak District numerous times and always thought it’d be such a gorgeous place to elope or have an intimate outdoor wedding.
Winnats Pass is a surprising and stunning nook in England that you could easily drive through in a few minutes. But it’s not one to miss. I’d highly recommend parking up and taking a short (although steep) walk to the top of the cliffs- the view is spectacular.
Although I did my best to iron out every last detail of this styled elopement, nothing can prepare you for your car breaking down literally as you pull up to your first destination. We planned to explore Curbar Edge after Winnats Pass, but our engine said otherwise.
So… we may have broken down on the side of the road for 8 hours and had to get towed back to Coventry in the early hours of the morning.
And yes, it may have been one of the hottest days of the year and we had barely any food and water so basically it was like an episode of Bear Grylls up in there.
And yes, the only reason we managed to get any photos in the last hour of light is because my models (aka besties) were AMAZING and I have a hero of a husband who ran up and down Winnats Pass to get phone signal and a banquet of greek food which we ate on the side of the road. Oh, it was as glamorous as it sounds.
I could not have done this photoshoot without these amazing suppliers! Go check these pages out and give them a follow- their work is 👌🏼.
