When you’re greeted with a huge hug from your couple without ever meeting them before, you know it’s going to be a great engagement photo shoot! Jess and James met me at Castle Ashby Gardens where they arranged to have their engagement shoot. Somehow we lucked out and only had to maneuver around a few curious garden-goers! Our time together was so relaxed and fun, Jess even brought a pile of old books as props and as a nod to her love for reading!
Jess and James found each other at just the right time. They could have met years before having attended rival schools just down the road from each other and most likely competed against each other in sport. Jess even went to the same school as James’ sister and they were in similar church circles! So many moments where they could have bumped into each other but it wasn’t until 2011 in their final year of university where they first met! Funny how these things happen at just the right time when you’re least expecting it, eh?!
Within days of meeting each other, they felt like the closest of friends. They soon realized their differences could make them stronger together. James being grounded and gentle and Jess being more on the wild side. They love playing music together, walking and exploring and climbing. All things we have in common! And their next adventure… becoming husband and wife next year in Greater London. I am so excited to be their wedding photographer!
Jess and James are downright AWESOME. They’re so kind and so much fun and spending five minutes with them felt like I’ve known them for five years. Counting down the days until their wedding at Bromley Court Hotel!!
