“Thanks so much for today! It was really fun and we feel way more at ease about photos on the big day now!” – Emily & Stephen
In July I met Emily and Stephen at a pub in Banbury to chat about their wedding day and plan their engagement shoot the following week. Emily and Stephen found me by searching their wedding venue, Fison Barn in Little Wittenham, Oxfordshire, on Pinterest! I have done a few photo shoots in Little Wittenham at the Wittenham Clumps just across the road from their wedding venue. I’m so glad they found me because of this and asked me to be their wedding photographer.
On this cloudy day, I arrived at Charlecote Park, on the banks of the River Avon near Wellesbourne east of Stratford-upon-Avon and south of Warwick, for their engagement photos. This National Trust home had acres of parkland and gardens blooming with summer flowers. We walked around the park and took a variety of photographs in the secret garden, along the flower beds, in front of the Victorian home and in the adjacent fields where we met some sheep! We got caught in a misty rain, though luckily towards the end of the shoot, so we a took a few final natural and fun photos in front of the apple vines before getting too wet!
Emily and Stephen are warm, friendly and so in love. It was a joy to take their engagement photos at Charlecote Park in Warwick and I absolutely cannot wait to photograph their summer barn wedding at Fison Barn in Oxfordshire next year!
